Tropico was lief falsch?

Der CEO Phil Steinmeyer von PopTop analysiert das von ihnen vor Kurzem veröffentlichte SimSpiel Tropico. In dem Artikel (engl) deckt er so einige Dinge auf die schief gelaufen sind.

Further analysis revealed that most of the memory was being used by the people and their animations. But many animations were only used in exceptional cases (riots, people dieing, etc.). I changed the game code so that those animations were only loaded on the rare occasions they were actually needed. A second waste of memory was the "fidget" animations (things people do while idle). Every unit has two or three fidget cycles (the teamster scratches his butt, the tourist takes pictures.) These fidgets were often big animations, but again, were only used sparingly in the game. I put in an option for low memory machines to only use one type of fidget per character, rather than two or three.
