Screamer 4x4 Shots und Interview


Ein paar Shots + Interview (engl) gibt es zu dem Rennspiel Screamer 4x4 von Vinteractive.

ARN3D: The vehicle physics are very realistic yet very playable. How were you able to create such a realistic driving experience while still maintaining such a high level of playability?

Clever's: Initially we wanted to create a really hard core simulation. During the development process this concept slightly changed. We had a really good physics engine (rigid body physics and car drive train engine ), but we pre-set certain parameters to make the game playable. You can use braking help, we pre defined the parameters for the tires, we made an auto clutch feature (the game can handle manual clutch, but you need at least 3 axises to do that ). A car has about 50 parameters, you can set only a couple of them with special limits. So the hard core off road simulation went into an arcade like hard core off road simulation. :)
